How to view and download a reported claim
Reported Claims (left-hand menu: My Fleet → Reported Claims, URL /admin/resources/accidents) is a read-only log. You can search, filter, view details, and download PDFs — but you cannot create or edit claims from the admin.
Step 1 — Open Reported Claims
Click My Fleet → Reported Claims in the left-hand navigation. The list shows all claims submitted by drivers in your fleet, sorted with the most recent at the top.
Step 2 — Find the claim you need
Use the search bar or the column headers to narrow down the list:
- Search by vehicle — type a plate number or part of it in the search field.
- Filter by user — click the User column header or use the filter controls to show only claims from a specific driver.
- Filter by date — use the Event Date column to sort chronologically if you know roughly when the incident occurred.
- Filter by insurance company — useful if you’re compiling all claims for a single insurer.
The list currently shows all claims across your fleet. If your workspace has many claims, filtering by vehicle plate is the fastest way to find a specific incident.
Step 3 — Open the detail view
Click the eye icon (view) at the right end of the row. The detail view opens and shows all fields Movcar recorded for that claim:
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| ID Movcar | Movcar’s internal identifier for this claim submission |
| Event Date | Date and time the incident occurred, as entered by the driver |
| Claim Number | The insurer’s reference number — typically empty (—) until you file with the insurer |
| Insurance Company | The insurer associated with the relevant policy |
| User | The driver who filed the report via the mobile app |
| Fleet Name | The fleet the vehicle belongs to |
| The fleet email address that received the claim notification | |
| Type of Claim | The insurance type the driver selected (e.g. AC / CASCO, OC / TPL) |
| Notification Received | Timestamp when the admin was notified |
| Vehicle | A link to the vehicle record — click it to open the vehicle’s full profile |
| The downloadable claim report generated by Movcar |
Step 4 — Download the PDF
You can download the claim PDF in two ways:
- From the list — click the PDF icon in the rightmost column of any row. The download starts immediately without opening the detail view.
- From the detail view — scroll to the PDF field and click the file link.
The PDF is the Movcar-formatted claim report that the driver’s mobile app generated. It contains the event details, damage description, and any information the driver entered. This document is what you submit to the insurer.
About the Claim Number column
When a claim first arrives, the Claim Number field is always empty (—). This is normal. The claim number is assigned by your insurance company after you contact them and officially open the claim — it does not come from Movcar.
Because the admin is read-only, there is no way to enter the insurer’s claim number into Movcar later. Keep that reference number in your insurer’s portal or your own tracking system, and use the Movcar ID if you need to cross-reference with the claim report PDF.
What you cannot do from here
- You cannot edit any field in the claim.
- You cannot delete a claim.
- You cannot create a new claim — this is done by the driver in the Movcar mobile app.
