How to edit a service operation
Common reasons to edit: a typo in the odometer reading, a corrected expense after the bill arrived, or updating the next-revision date because the operation actually happened later than logged.
Step 1 — Find the operation
Open Service → Service Operations. Use the search box (by operation name) or scroll. The list is sorted by service date, newest first.
Step 2 — Click the pencil icon
At the right end of the row: 👁 ✏️ 🗑. Click ✏️ to open the edit form. It’s the same form as Add, pre-filled.
Step 3 — Change what’s wrong
Edit any field:
- Vehicle — change if attributed to the wrong car.
- Operation — pick a different operation type from the dropdown.
- Odometer / Next revision date / Next revision at mileage — re-trigger reminders by updating these.
- Expenses — add or fix the cost after the bill arrives.
Step 4 — Save
Top-right, click Save. Green confirmation toast.
💡 Tip — If this operation is part of a Service Visit, editing it here only changes the operation record. The parent visit still references it. To edit the broader visit details (address, total cost, other operations), open the visit instead — see Edit a service visit.
