How to delete a mileage entry
Mileage rows accumulate fast (one per refuelling plus any manual entries). Occasionally you’ll need to remove a duplicate — e.g. a manual entry that overlapped with an auto-created one from a refuelling.
Step 1 — Find the row
Open My Fleet → Mileage. Use search or scroll.
Step 2 — Click the trash icon
At the right end of the row, click 🗑. Movcar asks you to confirm.
Step 3 — Confirm
Click Delete. The row disappears from the list and a green toast confirms.
What deletion affects
| Affected? | Notes |
|---|---|
| Running odometer total | Movcar uses the latest remaining row to compute current mileage. |
| Linked refuelling | If the row was auto-created from a refuelling, the refuelling stays — only the mileage row is removed. |
| Reports | Mileage reports recompute on every render, so they reflect deletions immediately. |
| Contracted-mileage alerts | Recalculated from the remaining rows. |
⚠ Don’t delete the wrong row — if you delete a valid later reading, Movcar may then accept an odometer value lower than reality on the next entry, because the validation only checks against the highest remaining reading. Always double-check the date before deleting.
