A quick tour of the admin panel

The Movcar admin screen has three regions: a left sidebar for navigation, a top bar for global controls (language, theme, workspace, profile), and a main content area where lists, forms, and dashboards render. This tour names everything so you can find what you need without poking around.

Main content area

The content changes based on which sidebar item is selected, but the layouts repeat across sections.

List views

Most My Fleet sections (Vehicles, Drivers, Fuel cards, Tires, etc.) follow this pattern:

  • Header — section title.
  • Filter strip — a row of filters specific to the section (e.g. “Hide archived data”, “Show expired cards”). Active filters show a count badge.
  • Search box — typeahead search by license plate, name, or whichever identifier the section uses.
  • Action buttons (top-right)Import, Export, + Add. Some sections have only some of these.
  • Table — rows with columns. Click a column header to sort. The first column is usually a checkbox for bulk operations.
  • Per-row actions (right end) — 👁 view · ✏️ edit · 🗑 delete icons.
  • Pagination — at the bottom: « ‹ 1 2 3 › » with “X-Y of Z”.

Form views

Clicking + Add or ✏️ edit opens a form, usually with a Cancel / Save & Add New / Save button row in the top-right.

Forms are organised into named sections (e.g. Photo, Model, Vehicle, Engine details, Owner & leasing details). Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).

Detail views

Clicking 👁 view (or the row itself) on a list opens a read-only detail page with the same section structure as the form, plus action buttons (Import data, Export data, Delete Item?, ✏️ pencil to edit).

Dashboard views

The Control Panel (default landing page) and Service → Status Overview are dashboards — they show summary cards and charts, no editable rows.

Keyboard shortcuts

A few are worth knowing:

  • Escape — closes any open dropdown.
  • Enter in search boxes — submits the search.
  • Tab between form fields.

That’s the layout. Once you know which sidebar group holds what, the rest is muscle memory.
