How to delete a fuel card

If a card has been physically destroyed or you’ve stopped using a specific fuel company, you can remove it from Movcar.

⚠ Consider “inactive” before deleting — setting Status to inactive keeps the card’s history intact (you can still see which refuellings it paid for) but stops new ones being logged against it. Deletion is permanent.

Step 1 — Find the card

Open My Fleet → Fuel cards, search or scroll to the card you want to remove.

Step 2 — Click the trash icon

At the right-hand end of the row, click the 🗑 trash icon. Movcar asks you to confirm.

Step 3 — Confirm

Click Delete in the confirmation modal. The card is removed and a confirmation toast appears in the bottom-right.

What happens to past refuellings

Refuellings that were logged against the deleted card stay in Movcar — their fuel quantity, total value, and driver attribution are unchanged. The only thing that disappears is the card link in the Fuel card column.

Alternative: archive

Movcar doesn’t have a separate archive for fuel cards — only delete or status change. If you want to keep the card record but hide it from day-to-day use, set Status to inactive and tick Show expired cards in the filter when you do need to find it.
